Akashinga Ranger Supervisor (Akashinga West Zimbabwe)

Talent Sonele Dube serves as Akashinga Ranger Supervisor at our Songo reserve in Zimbabwe. She joined Akashinga in 2020 as a Field Ranger Instructor, stepping into a leadership role traditionally held by men and helping to pave the way for women in conservation and law enforcement.

Talent holds a qualification in Wildlife Management from Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management College, where she received training in paramilitary operations, field-based conservation, and leadership. Her early experience included internships across four wildlife conservation areas, deepening her skills and commitment to protecting nature.

Promoted to Ranger Supervisor in recognition of her leadership and dedication, Talent now mentors and leads ranger teams on the frontlines of wildlife protection. She is passionate about supporting women’s advancement in conservation and sharing her voice on global platforms to inspire collective action for the environment and protecting our planet.
