K9 Handler

Future joined Akashinga in 2017 as one of the first recruits of the programme. She had no previous experience, being a young woman, and had heard about the Akashinga Programme through the local councillor. Determined to succeed, she finished her Basic Ranger Training at Hurungwe Safari Area and was selected to be a patrol leader soon after training. She was then selected to undergo a K9 training in South Africa where she successfully completed her dog handling course at Generics. She is a single parent with two children, and she aspires to become a successful conservator and role model to others in the community.
